Cameo modelling of proposed Childcare and Family Payment reforms for Federal election 2016
Monday 27 June 2016

A new paper by Ben Philips and Cukkoo Joseph of the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods casts a light on proposed Childcare and Family Payment reforms.

The paper summarises the results of a comparison of the financial impacts on hypothetical families (cameos) of proposed changes to family payments and child care payments in Australia under the Australian Labor Party and the Coalition.

Both parties have outlined their respective policy for the Federal Election to be held on July 2, 2016. This analysis compares the impacts of these policies in comparison with the current policy for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 financial years.
